No there is NOT! It is a ***** no matter how you do it! My towbar has an extended 4-way wire with a plug on the front for the tow vehicle and another on the back for the towed! The towed also has a wire from under the hood to under the drivers seat.. with matching plugs on each end. Then near the drivers seat the factory wires are CUT and matching plugs placed on each part. So when not being towed these last 2 plugs are joined allowing normal lighting. Then when being towed the plugs are seperated and the one from the tow vehicle is joined to give the lectric signal from the tow vehicle to the back lights only..
