I recall reading about Isuzu folding in the US ... and somehow GM was involved (since they own a percent of Isuzu). Is this still true and when are they looking to cease sales ?

How does this affect parts supply - something about a 10-year supply rule still going to be in effect ?

I still notice new lines coming out like the Ascender.

GM no longer owns as big of an interest in Isuzu as they used to. They used to own 49%, but now only hold 12%... Hopefully, Isuzu will recover from being in GM's grasp.

What I would like to see Isuzu build would be something like this.
[Linked Image]

The U.S. market is already flooded with enough SLV. I would like a nice MPV. Turbo diesel, choise of manual/Auto tranny. 2spd manual transfercase. Electric lockers front & rear. Don't forget the A/C.

well isuzu have real good diesel engines and they are ecological aprooved in many countries, i have heard that isuzu is planing to introduce its diesel line (d-max) but that is a lot of paperwork to do, it should be take some time. the only thing that isuzu should do is change few thing , like live axel suspension, lockers, option and things like that but we already have disscuse this many times. i realy think that isuzu is gonna make it through!!

Hasn't the D-Max already been introduced? The Dura-Max in a new Chevy is made by Isuzu. Are you saying they are going to put it in an Isuzu rig? I'm confused?
