I got a remote off of ebay, it is the right one for my 98 4Runner but i have NO IDEA how to program it to the car. WHen i bought the limited 4runner it didn't come with a keyless remote althought the alarm and keyless system were in it, just no remote. So i need to know how to program a remote to the alarm/keyless entry. I tried one that i found on the internet but it didn't work. Please anyone who has done this lemme know how. I would greatly appreciate it. 1st person to tell me how to do it and it works i will pay 10 dollars through money order or paypal. Lemm know thanks!

I don't know how to program, but bout time we get more SC people here.
BTW, I'm sure someone will tell you, free of cost.
Dealer charged my mom 1 hr labor, 36 bucks to have it done the day after we got it, I wished I'd been there to stop her from payin them and I could have done it.

Mudrunner
CMR,

$10, eh? See my write up at http://www.4runners.org/articles/rs3000

If you have a 98, you probably have this alarm remote.

there are two manuals (pdf) that you should download that at the top of the page.

also, what color is the remote you purchase? dark grey or black? email me at bobkim@4runners.org

Bob
