The local muffler guy welded in 6'' of 2 1/2 '' O.D. pipe just in front of the PV2.

I will be getting the muffler sometime this week. My newest question is how to determine if I should replace all the piping? It is my understanding that the stock system is stainless steel, but I thought that ss didn't rust and there is a coat of rust on the piping. I just want to do this right and not have to worry about the piping rotting out after I have the muffler welded in.

My exhaust is rusting nicely. Stainless doesn't rust as fast, but it will rust, particularly when subjected to a salt bath half the year.
