Max output, is just that. No pulley will change it. If you go to a smaller pulley, you may increase your output at idle. That will depend on the alternator, and how the regulater is designed, and of course, your idle speed. I have recently seen several Ford alternators off later Tempos, that appeared to be a bolt on, and are rated at 95amps. But 2.6 guy's check it out first, the stock alternator has an output wire to trigger the choke relay, and these may not. Just stay away from the GM CS 130 series, as they are not what they should be. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
