I've got a good question? what type plugs are you using? I posted an article a little while back and my truck ran like crap with the single electrode plugs,was told later i shold put the dual type in and man what a difference! My question is i was told you cant set the gap on the dual type plugs that they were already pre-gapped is this right or can you gap these plugs <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

flammedtaco, The dual plugs are for the 6 cylender but not for the 4 cyl like mine. If you want me too i can tell you just what the 6 cyl does take , It's in my manual. Let me know and I'll look it up for you and see what they say about it.
Setting the plugs at .043 really did help some but not a whole lot. I really thought it would make a big difference. It may show up better after i drive it around for a while. Mike

The book says that the 5VZ-FE engine take's the twin electrode plugs and they should be gaped to .043 just like the other plugs. You just gap each electrode. The part numbers are as follows:
Denso K16TR-11 and NGK BKR5EKB-11

Mark, You state that the plug you are showing is not for the V6 . What engine is it for? My book shows only the single electode for my 2.7L.4 cylinder. Mike

I meant that the image wasn't the BKR5EKB-11, I couldn't insert the image, so I included the link, and the image of a similar dual plug.

I HAVE THE 2.7 ALSO, AND IT LOOKS LIKE I HAVE THE WRONG ONES AGAIN, OH WELL. IM DRIVING TO TENN. THIS WEEKEND AND ILL CHECK AND SEE WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE BEFORE I GO.

If it runds better why change iot? Maybe I'll swith to the dull plugs. Maybe someone can tell us if it will harm anything.
My owners manual just calls for the reguler plugs for the 2.7L and that's why i used them. It does show the dull for the 6 cyl i mentioned above.
Let me know what you find out if you have the time. Are you getting any more power from the dull plugs??? Thanks, Mike

The supercharger guys try all kinds of different plugs to see if they'll help with pinging or last longer. If your plugs were listed for your engine, and they're working good, it sounds like you made the right move.
