My 81' Celica 22R and 87' 4Runner 22R-E both came with carbs. I know I know...22R-Es are EFI...but some dumbass replaced the EFI intakes with a carbie set up. Anyways...I avoid all the hassles by converting all my rigs over to EFI. No fuss, no muss and the wife puts out more when she sees something as clean and organized as an EFI'd engine compartment!
