How far off are the mounting holes? Have you thought about using some sort of metal bracket, bolting it to the console, then screwing it down to the mounting holes on the floor. I guess this being feasable would depend on how far off the two sets of holes are.

Just a thought.

ok i get it. i've only got two cams so i've got SOHC. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> well, you learn something new every day. still working on pik. i'm computer illiterate and consider being able to access this forum a major accomplishment. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" /> the secretary is working something out for me to post the pik.

Not to beat a dead horse, but if you were to somehow make it to Uwharrie in October, I'm sure Rubo and I could get it soundly attached for you.

However, if you want to try your hand at it yourself, it shouldn't be very difficult. --- The front and rear mounting holes on your `96 actually pop through a piece of interior metal that sits above the lower body itself (There's a hollow space between the two). --- So, assuming that you still have the bracket that supports the rear section, as long as you didn't let the drill go through to the lower metal, you could simply make some new holes to match the `99 center console.

Trust me; it's definitely not as hard as it might sound. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/drunk.gif" alt="" />
