old rodeo vmag boards

Afraid I don't have any direct contact info - Here's a link to the old board. I do remember that he lived in Roswell, GA.

also check 99 archive link on that site - was discussed there as well
archive

If you do a search for cupholders, or for Tom in Roswell, you'll see the threads...think all the picures are gone though.

Might be able to find out who ran the old boards and see if they have contact info.

My cupholder is the little space between the driver's seat and the e-brake. It is snug enough to fit almost any drink cup....from a can to a 44oz drink. It is a tough fit for the 44oz(as well as in the bladder) but for any others, it works out pretty well. I remember there was a cupholder that can be put in the place of the ashtray. It was availabe through some company that I can't track down right now. It was something like outback outfitters or something.

I decided that most cupholders that you find will only fit a can, and not very snuggly at that, so the driver's seat/e-brake works for me.

i made this cup holder from a piece of 3" pvc cap and a piece of aluminum stock. the mug handle slot was made by running it on the grinder. a short piece of 3" pipe drops in to hold tall fountain drinks/stop 'N rob coffee cups. the screw is a 4" long drywall screw and replaces one taken out from under the coin tray (remove little cover). this has worked better than the plastic two-cup that fits in the ashtray slot (from e-bay). i never have any coins for the coin tray anyway

there's 2 (two) cams so that's DOHC, right?

No. There actualy is only one cam, so it's a SOHC.
'98 & newer Rodeos are DOHC (Dual Over Head Camshaft).
Everything before '98 is SOHC (Single Over Head Camshaft).
When you say 2 (two) camshafts, it means you have 2 over each cylynder bank, not on the entire engine.
For exampe on the '98+ rodeos there are total of 4 (four) camshafts (2 over each cylynder bank).

Back to your question, you need to have the pics up on the web somewhere to be able to post them here.

FYI, I have a 99 console in my 96 rodeo. It fits well, besides the fact that the factory mounting holes do not work. When you go to push the e-brake handle down, you do have to shift the console forward, but because the handle is against it, it holds the console pretty tight when you're driving.. FYI, its an awesome thing to have, and if someone could figure out how to mount it securely, as I have not given it much time, but if anyone wants to go duo on it, on some brainstorming, email me!
