1st Capitol 4WD of St. Charles, MO installed 4 new Rancho 9000X shocks on my 2003 Rodeo yesterday. 99214s on the front and 99186s on the rear. Well, the difference between the flaccid OEM shocks and the Ranchos is profound. With all 4 shocks set on "5", the pronounced brake dive is gone, the rear end no longer dances over uneven pavement and the highway ride is comfortable and well-controlled. This is exactly what I wanted.

I do note that the driver side rear fender now sits 1/2" higher than the passenger side. I measured the length of the rear shocks as installed and the driver side rear shock is exactly 1/2 inch longer than the passenger side rear shock. I can see a visual difference because a little more of the rear driver side fender well is now visible than before. My wife doesn't notice it. My questions are:

1. What would cause this?
2. Is it normal, i.e., a "live-with" situation?
3. Are there any potential negative consequences?
4. What would you do, if anything?

Thanks very much for your help.
