Thank you all - I do have the 1988 service manual. But now I am a little confused - you have nipple 3 going to the top of the 6-sided thing-a-ma-jig (this IS the correct name), but the FBC system diagram in the manual shows the top of the 6-sided thing-a-ma-jig going to the coolant temperature sensor (same also on Huysman's diagram).

Also then, where does the green line from the vacuum switch (the lower single hose from the device box on the fender) go to? Huysman's diagram shows it going to somewhere on the upper right driver's side of the carb - looks like nipples 3 or 4.

I hate to keep at this but I want to get it right.
