Getting the Wheeling Fever
Hi everyone,
I think it is about time for my 2.6L 1990 troop to get a new radiator. It is still on the original and has been starting to struggle the past several summers. Can anyone give me some advice/recommendations on who makes a good replacement radiator? There are a lot of companies out there and it is hard to know who to go with. Anything to be wary of when making this purchase? Price matters, but I am willing to pay more for quality. Thanks in advance for any help-
Cory

If ya gotta do the radiator, might as well replace the water pump and thermostat if its still original also, even if it is an unappealing job, gotta baby that head and gasket. This let's you basically 'zero-time' the whole cooling system on one whack.

Welcome to the Board, it's always great to have another TARHEEL ISUZU in the community <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Don, thanks for the welcome. Have you done the waterpump, and if so how does it rate as far as a do it yourself job? I like your troop pick there, I've got a similar one of my 90 taken on the sand at Oregon Inlet.

I have done the pump/radiator deal on my rig, but mine has the GM 2.8 motor. So, I don't know how much of a hassle it is with the 2.6.

Thanks for the kudos, pic was taken at the Fort Fisher State Rec Area below Wilmington.
