Actually Roger is STILL at Dusy, fixing a broken Jeep right now.

Harry it was glad to have you along. Paul and I got off the trail like 10pm. Home at 1:30am....

Thank god that Roger ( my hero ) walked up the hill to help us down to the trail head. That was some pretty gnarly stuff and in the dark made it more fun. I think that trail has become my favorite. Hopefully roger can weld up the jeep enough to get out. Have to give a big thnx to you and patrick for running for parts.(How much do we owe you?) Roger for running all the way to Madera to find an open store and then coming back to the trailhead and spending monday to rescue the jeep. Thnx!

(I hear the new TLCA President drives an 82 Mini Truck)

You hear, huh? Good to have you here Tony. Roger and I were actually talking about you this weekend, he said that you had called down to Marlin's shop when Roger was there and Marlin was SO excited. "That was TONY TWIDDY on the phone!" From Marlin's reaction it sounded like he had talked to the president on the United States, not the president of TLCA.

Roger is a super cool guy, knowledgable and humble, I am sure that he will do an excellent job as Tech Editor.

Sorry to hear that you got off of the trail so late Art. The last part was definitely the worst, I couldn't imagine doing it in the dark. I am sure that Shawn is pretty tired at school today. I had a great time though and cannot wait to go back with my truck. I was commenting to Patrick about what a great group of people Gettin' Off has, everyone was really friendly and helpful and well behaved. That goes for your son too, the behavior of the child says a lot about the parents.

I can't wait to hit the trails with you guys again, but we'll have to leave the Jeeps at home next time.

SO are they actually doing more stuff for the mini/4runner crowd.. let my membership lapse because I was tired of reading only about cruisers. Not that cruisers are bad but felt like the poor cousin in a club for Toyotas.

that is a cool shot of the "chicken hill thingy"... had a great time there Harry...what do you think of "rally-cross" at Dusy? It was really fun chasing Roger ...He's the MAN!

Phantom...

TLCA only prints articles and submissions by members... that is, if they only receive LC stuff, that is what is printed. If they receive Mini Truck and Runner stuff, that is what will be printed. The Truck Tech role is designed primarily to help put this topic in trails. You folks can help by submitting content to Roger or submitting articles to Trails or ... maintaining your TLCA Membership. Its only as good as we make it. Don't expect someone else to do it, cause it won't get done.

also, about Dusy, last year we had a jeep in our group break a sector shaft... he was done. We descended white bark ridge (the last tough section) in the dark also and yes, it was a bit hairy but it was great. We got to also return that way, repair the jeep then run swamp lake. I love that trail for its length, its elevation and its beauty. The wheeling is just a bonus.
As a matter of fact, I'm scheduled to be down there in... ess than two weeks! woo hoo!

uh....they do....Lone Star...and I believe there may be another Houstou-based Toy club too.

I was a TLCA member for over 10 years with no specific club affiliation. (joined 1989)
