The amp is listed at 4 ohm stable.

If the subs are each 4 ohm, you would have to run them in series and would be using less power.

I would search for an amp that is two ohm stable and near the limits of the subs, or another sub box that has two eight ohm subs and keep that same amp.

Perhaps I am missing something obvious, but that is what I would say based on what I see.

One suggestion, stay away from bandpass! Either get ported or sealed....go Here for good advice.

I got v. good sound out of two DVC 10" JL's run to my back channel, which on that particular amp was stable, even briged to 1ohm. Really pounded smile They were in a sealed enclosure and still rocked.

Bandpass... ugh. I'm sorry but bandpass is for people who want annoying boom and don't care about quality sound. If you're OK with what, IMO is junk... go with bandpass.

If not stay with a sealed enclosure. Porting is fine - but really only if it's done right, which quite a few car audio shops honestly can't do.

If you look for a primary pair of coaxials, I have had 3 pair of Memphis spks that all served me well and sounded great.

I just got a JL 500.1 for 170 bucks, retails like 450, its a AWESOME amp. I'm gonan get 2 12W3s for the amp, my Audiobahn AW1200Qs can't handle the power it pushes out.
