Thoughts....for carbon buildup removal get a can of BK44 (I think) from Toyota. As far as the compression results, they are awesome. High yes...but what matters is they are even within a few PSI of each other. Cracked head wont show up on compression check until its to big to close itself....thats generally noted by a huge plume out the tail pipe. For the oil...dont be using something so heavy...the leak is there cause something aint sealing. Heavier oil will mask a problem while creating a new one elsewhere. If you are looking for backup as too the tune-up in a can should fix it idea, You're getting advice from the wrong guy Find the source of the oil (valve stem seal) and fix it, leave yourself with no worries. ~Darin

Make sure you pull the valve cover before using ANY motor flush (oil passage cleaner). if the valve cover or head has significant build-up DO NOT use motor flush, it will loosen the crap and it will find it's way into you bearings. this is very bad and will destroy most moving parts in your motor. how do I know this, because I killed my 22RE this way. and only found out when I took it apart to fix t-chain guides. result Total rebuild$$$.....Karl

I'll back Darin up on the Bg 44K recommendation. It is made by BG Products and sold at some NAPAs and some dealership service depts. Really potent and good stuff. On most vehicles you have to readjust the idle after it cleans all the gunk out of the fuel system, no kidding! It is like $20 a can though, ouch. My bro worked as a mechanic for 8 years and his independant shop used all the BG products exclusively, they make a bunch. Me and my bro both hate additives in general btw, there are a a (very) few good ones, BG and lubeguard being chief among them. Pretty much anything you can get at the auto parts store, except chevron techron are crap though.
