The 2.7 will mount up to the w56 4cyl tranny if you use the w59 bellhousing from the donor taco. The taco bell bridges the gap - that's easy. Having exhaust and intake on the opposite sides, that can prove to be interesing. A friend of mine has a 98 taco with a 2.7 and 5spd. Hopefully he will sell me the motor and tranny when he gets done with his motor swap - a 302 ford and a C4 I think. He is in the process of building the motor. That 2.7 has been working hard though, he has 44's on his truck <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />, with IFS <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif" alt="" />. Maybe one day I will get a picture of it and post it so you guys can see it. I wonder how much it would cost to rebuild the 2.7 <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />? If I don't get his motor, there is still that taco 2.4 in the junkyard near my house. I still haven't decided yet.
