Got up this morning and thought the Mitsu stork had been.

Looked like my Paj had dropped a bundle.

Really, my wife had a friend stay last night and this was her new purchase.

Any details?

what engine(s) are available
what tranny(s)
suspension IFS? IRS?
2wd? 4wd?

I'm curious. The last question...
Will Mitsubishi import it into North America?

It's a Pajero/Shogun Pinin. Look it up on http://www.mitsubishi-cars.co.uk/shogunpinin/

The outlandish Outlander is a totally different vehicle. The IO has been around quite a while in Oz whereas the Outlander was only released relatively recently.

In Singapore, the first 2 batches of Pajero IO all had an ECU problem. It gets cut off cos of overheating while on the drive! Many owners had to be called back to do a ECU swap. The latest IO looks alot better than its predecessors.
