That is pretty jacked up :-( You might want to take them to a local powder coater and have them bead blasted and coated. You can choose from a million colors including a very nice silver that looks almost like the should right now. I had a pair of motorcycle rims done for a little over $100. You should be able to get them all 4 done for under $200 and you'll never ever have to touch them again other than to wipe the grime off if you care. Powder coating rocks!

Dam those babies must have come from the salt belt like upstate NY or VT....
I know you can't find rims without that kinda corrosion on vehicles out here.

sucks to hear that.like ya said though, should have asked for a pic of all four of them together in a pic. that way he couldn't take several different pics of the same rim

Sorry to hear about the close encounter of the shady kind. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> I remember there was a good post that someone did regarding clear coat on aluminum rims. I bet if you hang back for a few days, you will get lots of neat suggestions about trick ways to improve the finish on these rims.

OhMyHolyHell....did any of the rims look as good as his 20 yard shot of the one rim? That musta been the spare. Although -and Im not sticking up for him by any means- but he did mention clear coat was coming off. Now if you have correspondance with the seller asking some detailed questions then you may be able to file a complaint with ebay. Tough deal...hate to see it happen to anyone. One thing I just noticed on a washer bottle/pump Im bidding on is "pump condition unknown" Doh!!!!
