pictures here.

I knew i should have asked this jerk for more pictures.

I've got 65 all positive feedbacks on Ebay and here's my take. It's your fault, you may not like that fact, but it is. If you want more pics, email and ask for them. If the seller can't provide them or more info on the item, DON'T BID ON IT! Toyota made more than one set of rims that year, you'll find more. Sounds like you made an impulse buy. Did you even bother to check the guy's first feedback page? I won't even touch a seller who has more than a couple complaints, certainly not that many in the last six months.

Do your homework before you blame him. He clearly stated they need work and the clearcoat was falling off. Accept is and deal with it. He should get neutral feedback at worst.

Do you know what oxidation is? the clear IS NOT really falling off. The oxidation is so bad that they need to be sanded with 220 grit then 400 thren 600 then 800 then 1000 then buffed........ Do you know how much work that means?

I stripped one rim last night and it has pits and holes! oxidation.

He never said oxidation

Hey Shawn, if they are badly pitted it can take forever to sand out pits, ridges and bumps are easyer, but holes you have to sand down all the material around the hole too. If this is the case you might think about a very thin coat of Bondo or some other plastic filler and sand that smooth then go with paint. My wifes BMW has some nice silver wheels.

Yeah i was thinking that too. If i can get enought primer on them then sand then prome again I might be able to get away with just painting them.

Ill know tomorrow when i strip the other 3 down the spare is fine. And this guy played dum to me too. He says in an Email "shawn you got luckey what ever was on the rims looks like it may come off" What a jerk.

To the guys who say this guy described them properly and it was my fault

No he did not, It would be SOooo easy to strip them and re clear them. But to sand and fill and polish them is 10X more work than its worth.
