I've tried the electric fan route with an adjustable thermostatic switch. It worked weel until it decided not to kick on one out wheeling . I jumped it(Ran power direct, full time) to get me out of where i was and when I got home replaced it with the stock fan. I keep track of my gas mileage and it didn't matter which set-up was on it I got the same MPG. I also didn't notice any power gains that were irrefutably gained by the electric fan.
