I gave up on the band clamps and put radiator clamps on mine. Had to use 4 big ones and 2 small ones per side, but they dont come loose and are reusable.

I might add that you will have to remove the bumpstop(2 bolts) on each side and grind the corner off a little to allow the screw head on the radiator clamp enough clearance, but that's an easy task.
