I just came off active duty and moved back to NOVA. Since I am a civilian now my weekends are free. I'm up for linking up/meeting the NOVA guys and heading down in a convoy. Where are you planning on meeting?

Gregg82- The meeting place and time for NOVA is not set yet. It will most likely be some where on 66 early on saturday morning. Where in NOVA are you located?

To all- I will try to call the Ranger Station this week to find out the condition of the trails and what trails are open.

Kajo;

I live off of RTE 50 on the Fx County/Loudoun County line. Any place on 66 will work for me.

I've never run most of Kephart... what's it like? Could my 3rd gen run it (3" lift, 32" ATs, open diffs)? The loop trails are fun and all, but it's a 6 hour trip for me and the loops aren't that much fun.

I've got 2 options for that weekend... camp at GWNF or spend a day at Paragon. The camping/weekend thing at GWNF would be more fun (especially if I could run more than just the loop trails), but I know my rig will get a good workout at Paragon.

Your runner can handle kephart except for the last obstacle. and that is optional. Last year we had a Grand Cherokee on 30X9.50's and open diffs in our groupp. He did kephart and went down Dictum Ridge. He did scrape alot on Dictum Ridge though.

I've been to the last two EC4RJ, but don't really know anyone on the forum. I might tag along with the NOVA group if that's OK. Is anybody keeping a good count of how many people are going?

Jacksonpt- I don't want to hijack this thread with Paragon talk, but I may end up going there instead of GWNF. I tried to start a thread here in the 4-Wheeling Trucks forum, but didn't get any response. I'll post in the thread you started on Paragon's site.

I'm going to Paragon on Sunday, so GWNF sounds good next weekend. Did you have any kind of schedule in mind? I haven't been down that way in a while, but the loops aren't full-day trails, are they? What about Kephart? If you're going to be getting an early start on Saturday, I'll have to head down Friday night. Maybe I'll leave Friday after work and camp at the meadow, then meet up with you sometime/somewhere Saturday morning... how's that sound?

Any word on what trails are open? I've heard that dictums, old long run, and the powerlines were all closed... that leaves the loops, second mountain, and kephart (that I know of). Just trying to get the most wheeling in I can for my 6-hour drive.
