Getting the Wheeling Fever
I just got an 86 4x4 pickup and I was wondering how many leafs it has stock. My rear sits up a little higher than the front and I was wondering if maybe someone had added an ad a leaf. It pretty stiff. 4leafs total. Thanx Stinson

Your front torsion bars may just need adjusting. They sag over time and you loose height. Here is a tech article on adjusting them http://www.off-road.com/toyota/tech/torsion/index.htm

Sorry, I can't remember how many leafs I had stock. If you don't want to raise the front but would rather lower the rear to match the front, you can remove a leaf.

I think most pickups have 4 leaves, main leaf, full length military wrapped 2nd leaf, a shorter 3rd leaf and an overload leaf on the bottom. Some of the earlier pickups ('83 and earlier) had 2 overloads, a short one and a longer one.
