it will take me couple of days to do it & if there are any positive matches, i'll post them.

I just happen to have a set of OE fronts and rears sitting beside me (funny about that!)

Fronts: 338 mm long, 14.4 mm thick, overall 119 mm metal diameter, 8 turns with 15 mm overlap.

Rears: 265 mm long, variable metal dia from 8.3 mm to 14.4 mm, overall diameter max 164 mm (belly) minimum diameter internal (ends, to fit around bumpstops) 48 mm, 8 turns no overlap.

Can you handle it all in metric???

in inches stock front springs would be....

Fronts: 13.307 inches long, .566 inches thick, overall 4.685 inches metal diameter, 8 turns with .59 overlap.

so if stock is nearly 13.5 inches....how tall will the new ones need to be for the 4 inch lift?...about 15-16 inches?

they are about 2" taller and use a thicker wire. but i think the newest sets will be a little more than 2" taller or use an even thicker wire, not sure i gotta talk to the coil manufacturer today, they said they've fixed the sagging issue, but they didn't tell me how yet.

I'm getting ready to start on this thing...
will see if I can find springs off another vehical first
if not then I'm gonna go with Daves springs and upper strut mounts...

Dave strut mounts run $75 plus shipping?...and how long would it take to get them after I get you the payment?

or...how much for your whole 4" lift kit front back and mounts?...

yes this has been thought on long and hard I just want to make sure this is gonna be what I want...

ladyfrog, first of all, i just want to say that the coil manufacturer you have listed above put your front coils at 138 per pair because that is our deal with them, that is the coil manufacturer i use. i don't know why they want to charge you 186 for the rears unless you had them do something secial, but the ones in my kit are also 138 per pair. the total for the kit is 350 plus shipping. if you get the mounts seperately, it will cost you a little more. if you use tj rear coils, the ride will be stiff as dennis has pointed out, but then so might it be with the 4" lift from me, as shifter26 has said, not to mention the necessity to lengthen the panhard rod or alter it's mount to re-center the rear axle. you asked earlier if it would be possible to alter the coil seats top and bottom in the front to accomodate a different coil, and yes, it would be, but it would be a lot more work than is necessary, believe me, i have thought about this and other possibilities for a very, very long time. Eibachs and spacers or custom coils and new upper strut mounts are the only way to go for 4" up front. Mazda MPV, TJ and custom coils are the only way to go for 4" in the rear and you still have to fix the panhard length issue.

one major note on all this: it doesn't matter what you do as far as lift, all but the stiffest will sag unless you also alter the linkages in front and in rear. if you don't, the linkage angles are working aganst the coils more than for them and causing more wear on them than simply keeping the vehicle at a certain height.

Don't know if it's still an option Dave but The original springs I got from you were stiff in the front and just right (for me) in the rear. It's a stiffer ride altogether than stock but it's definitely still comfortable. Stiffness feeling also comes from the kind of shock used correct? I'm not too sure on that one. I went with the Rancho RS 5k in the back and am running my stock in the front.(which will have to be changed out eventually)

yeah, shocks do have a lot to do with it, too.
