sweet pics corran (which truck were you in). I just relized you snapped a pic of old dude that said he used to do that last hill climb in 2wd. What a man. I wonder if he was related to that guy in the Ford Explorer . LOL

I was in the white 80 series. I couldn't pass up the chance to post a picture of the local in the Camero T-Shirt. After all, he could drive up that last hill in his Cutlass. He must be the best 4-wheeler around.

yes, with the dog. Sweet dog. I had my 10 yr old German Shepard out the day before but she can only handle one rough day at a time.
What happened w/ your rear lower control arm. Any other damage. You should have tried that last hill climb. No problem for the 80.

Glad everyone had a great time. Hate I missed it though ..

Getting the Wheeling Fever
I went up Sat afternoon (for the first time) with a buddy. Stayed at the Ramada ($69, room was OK). Sun AM ate at the Knotty Pine (what a diner!) and got to Paragon around 11. Problem was that there was nothing but bikes and quads buzzing around everywhere and no stockers to hook up with. Went back into town and got a paper and settled down for a long wait. 2 Hummers pull up and put on their flags. But they're stuck just like we are. They finally come up to us and ask us if we want to join them. No way are we in their league but we agree to split up once we're inside (they're looking for someone who is already inside the park). At this point we're psyched - we're actually going to get in! The guy inside draws me up a map (mostly keeping to the outside since its late) and off we go. We got a little messed up down by Rubicon Lake - both cutovers that we saw would have ripped my boards right out. Went back the wrong way and was glad to escape with no damage. Went back past the entrance headed towards "trail 25" (near the coal road - unnamed on the map) and we stopped to watch someone coming down the M trail. Just our luck it was someone who worked there and we got busted for running around by ourselves. He "escorted" us out but we had no complaints - next time going to bring some wheels and tires along so we can see more of the place.

Did you ever do anything with that dashboard video? How about the Impossible Hill run?

I finally found a place on the Eastern Shore to get my tires shaved. Man, that made a world of difference.

I think it is time to set a date for the JAM!!!! Lets set one in the Spring so we will have time to squeeze something in before the Fall Colors Ride.

Yeah Gadget, I did get most of the video done, including Impossible Hill. That was an awesome time in itself! But it takes a lot longer than I thought it would converting the video. I have been working it in between the work stuff and the mod stuff. I hope to have it done before next month. I have some web space to house it so I just need to get to it and finish it.

Glad you found a place to shave the tires and that it worked out for sure! Not to get off topic but I am having to deal with ignorance at two local Toyota dealers in getting my tires re-balanced. I went to my usual dealer who has a new Hunter machine and it is out of calibration since installed and still no luck getting it straight yet. So I went to another dealer in town and they totally suck! Told me it was taking over 4-5 ounces on each tire and it shook so bad the weights came off. Told me to have my Michelins replaced/adjusted, all 5, because they were all bad on road force. They really blow. Won't go there ever again for sure. So I took it to another buddy of mine who owns a couple of Meineke shops and on his Hunter machine with no Haweka adapter (he ain't got one) it took less than 1/2 oz. per wheel but only a little vibration at around 60mph. Not bad for no Haweka. So I am still working on the wheels myself.

For sure count me in on the next next Jam planning session. I already have my signage buddy asking me about what I want made up in the way of stickers / decals and such. Of course, I will need to wait and talk with Little Joe about all that first. Mums to word until the committee approves what they want to see. But I am defintely ready. And I will be camping this time so I don't miss all the good times (like the rain, mud, etc.)
