I have used them for my on-board air and my in cab winch mount. I can not remember the part numbers though but they fit perfectly in the slots of my 85. if you know the part number you can order them from most marine stores. If too much current is run through a low amp switch, some nasty results could come to be. Other than that, it shouldn't matter much. For you non-believers read the side of the switch that came from the dealer. Go to www.westmarine.com and buy the same switch for 4-7 dollars. They work and look great, they even have some that have illumnination in the middle when the switch is on, and you can get different color inserts for different switches.
