Some switches may be rated at a different amp. than others. If too much current is run through a low amp switch, some nasty results could come to be. Other than that, it shouldn't matter much.

why even bother.

use a relay for everything. if you are running a 20 amps through the switch, why? just send a smaller amount through the switch and have the relay handle it...

I first tried to use the relay that came with the horn, but it wouldn't work. I then bought another relay thinking that one was bad, but it wouldn't work either, so I just used a switch for a easy fix, got tired of dickin around with it.
