Hondas are well known for having problems with the ignition switch contacts. I rather doubt Toyota's are so different as to never have this problem. On the Honda's, it's a combination of the grease hardening preventing the spring loaded contacts for moving, and burning on the face. Disassembly, cleaning and lubricating takes care of the problem normally.
