My 87 4Runner Turbo has a situation when the truck is shut off for 20-40 minutes and then started back up, the idle is real low and feels like it wants to stall. I checked my temp sensor, the O2 is new, the AFM checked out fine, I added the Jacobs Omni-Pak and no difference, new plugs, new wires, new air filter, new timing chain and guides, set the valves and it still happens. It makes me think it's a fuel related issue like a leaky injector or the temp sensor says the engine is still warm, but inside the engine, it has lost some of the heat and causing the rough or weak idle. I'm leaning toward the sensor giving bad information to the computer but I don't want to waste money replacing the wrong component. This seems to be a very common situation. If anyone has replaced or rebuilt their injectors and it didn't help, let us know. It only takes my truck about 2 minutes before the normal idle returns.
