Many (most?) of the older Monty owners, especially the SWBs, hace them as "projects" and hobby rigs, not daily drivers. Haven't priced them, but I would think a 99 Limited must go for somewhere around $20k. That's alot of money for most for a hobby. I've got less than $1k in acquiring my SWBs. When I'm done, I'm guessing I'll have less than $5k into the one that survives, along with plenty of spare parts. Plus, we all drive our Monties because they are different. Most new Monties are driven by soccer moms and grocery getters (no offense intended). I've been driving them for quite a few years for camping, climbing, and general go-anywhere stuff. Recently though I was bitten by the off-roading bug. (Hence the SWB project!)
