Dick..I am from Lower NY (orange/westchester county) and I havent found any decent trails in this area. If you are in NY and you want to go wheelin you at least have to hit sullivan/dutchess county. Thats approx 2 hours from you...just to get started..

I know a decent place in Elmhurst (Queens) on Queens Blvd going towards the 58th st bridge. Its next to a Mcdonalds..they sell some 4 wheel stuff there..the name slips my mind though.

Welcome

<tongue planted firmly in cheek>

"Hmmm, last time I was in NY I was wishing I had one of my offroad jeeps just to navigate the potholes downtown smile that and trying to stay only 20 or 30 mph over the speedlimits while 18 wheelers are whizzing by like you're parked on the side of the road...in the dark....in the rain....

seemed like pretty intense '4wheelin' to me <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />

There's a chrome bar on eBay for the MS. I think the BuyNow was under $200. Don't know where it would ship from...

Just looked, not there now... Keep an eye out though as there usually is one listed...

My 99 Gen II has some dings and scratches from using it the way it was MEANT to be used. But yeah, a lot of the buyers of the newer models use them as grocery getters only. What a waste of machinery! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Don't forget tho- Some of us have wifes who are or will become those soccer moms. I'd LOVE to be able to put my wife and kids into a newer Mitsu. They are great rigs!
I think she'd love it, and I'd sure feel good about it. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
