I know this is all too late, but i have factual info for y'all i can share.

I put the R151F behind my V6 where there used to be an R150.

The Clutch and stuff on the 3vze is the SAME as the 22RTE. bolts right up. the disk and PP are slightly larger on the turbo/v6.

The 3vze bellhousing bolts right to the front of the r151f tranny. No clutch linkage adjustment required.

want an r150 behind your 22RE? Use the bellhousing from the turbo truck. Need one? I can't use the one I have!!

Marlin DOES make an adapter to put the gear driven case behind the R150. He does not make an adapter to put the r151 behind the 3VZE because Toyota did it for you.

Same under the dash? yes. It is all metal. You can cut it wherever you want! How do things line up? Well, I don't know where the shifters will land if you put an R150 behind your 22re because I haven't tried it. I do know that the R151f tranny and forward shift t-case hole are 2.5 inches further forward than they were with my R150.

Oh, the tail shaft housing on the R151f is different than the R150. For sure. you may think you can use it to put a gear t-case behind the r150...Maybe, but I doubt it. I think you would need the tailshaft of the Turbo tranny too. Not only is the length different, but the forward shift tower is different too! The top shifters are either the tall or the short, right? The foward shift tower on the r150 is obviously wider on 1 end when you look at the bolt holes. The turbo truck's R151f is between the two! So, no short shift t-case kit if you want to use a FWD shift turbo truck tranny and t-case. you'll have to build the tower extension yourself.

v6 guys...If i had to do it all over again, I would just get the v6 to gear t-case adapter from marlin. If you REALLY must have the lower first gear ratio afforded by the turbo tranny, go all the way and have marlin put in the 5.15 first gear cluster from the Austrailian tow trucks. might was well go all the way!
