Spent another Saturday working on the Montero. Replaced the right outer CV boot, the needle bearing, seal, and shim at the rear of the knuckle, and both balljoints on the right side while I had the knuckle out. Replaced the ABS sensor too since they've rusted solid to the hole in the knuckle that they're bolt to over the years. Had to torch and hammer the old sensor out, and shock the broken mounting bolt loose with heat and water after snapping the bolt head off.
Only bolt that broke though, so way better than how the left side job went a few months ago <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />
Lots of grease and anti-seize to prevent all this fun the next time.
Monty was noticably tighter going down the road when I got through, that lower balljoint was getting loose. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />
Got too tired to redo my headlight washer pump, again. Oh well, there's always next week. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/drunk.gif" alt="" /> Houston
