hey everyone...been baving some minor issues with my clutch again...i tore apaort my master cylinder and it seems to be fine...clean and moving smoothly...i got a new slave cylinder (covered under warrenty casue the old one was junk) i completly flushed the lines and the fluid in there oculd be mistaken for filtered water now. i am getting good movement out of the slave cylinder now BUT my truck still does not fully disengage when i mash the clutch pedal....i adjusted the clutch free play (now the clutch pedal is like an inch higher then my brake...but thats the only place i can get it so that the stick shift will slip into gears...) my clutch was brand new just one year ago and 2 months....so i am curious as to if there is an adjustment inside the transmission where that rubber boot that attaches to the fork that is actuated by the slave cylinder. i can change gears it just isnt smooth...and if i try and slip in and out of gears over 3000 rpm, i get grindage...and i am used to shifting at 4000 rpm just to get those hamsters under the hood running so i can get some power.
let me know if i have missed something... thank you!!
oh yeah 91 trooper 2.8v6 5 speed manual tranny.
