The Raider carb is NOT HARD TO REBUILD! It can easily be done by anyone with a few tools and an attention to detail in an afternoon. However, the Accel pump diaphram is not included in most kits, so you'll have to make sure you get it somewhere (I think a place called carb tech in CA sells the parts you need).

TIP: if you decide to do this, hitl the screws with PB blaster the day before you try and take it apart -- makes it much easier!

Also, there is a Weber replacement that is available for about $300 on E-bay (new). Works good, but a little difficult to get adjusted right after install (I'm told) -- and the off-road performance is not that great.

Replacement rebuilt carbs are available at most any auto parts store, but are very pricy.

The carb off a 2.6 Dodge Caravan will also fit with some tinkering, but not if you're in a smog state.

That's about all I know -- others may chime in.

Good luck!

Terry
