The only reason he says you might not be happy with the results is (probably) he has no clue how to replace the parts or properly set it up once it is reassembled.

In addition, the vacuum-controlled emissions devices on this engine can be a little intimidating if you don't know how it works.

If you do a search on the Mitsubishi board using the word "mikuni", you will find many documents explaining the carb's operation, how to overhaul, and how to adjust. If you use the word "vacuum" you will get documents on the emissions system and vacuum hose routing. Use the phrase "oxygen sensor", and you will get some useful diagnostic information.

Save your money...don't buy the Weber (you will just go back to your Mikuni)...either overhaul it yourself, find a specialty shop via the internet to overhaul it (ship via UPS), or replace it with a reman unit (chancey because alot of "mass rebuilders" don't know what they are doing, either).
