Well, anyone who labors under the misconception that ABS stops you quicker will be disabused of that notion as soon as they experience the system in action.
In the incident I related above, I had two wheels on dry pavement at all times. My DIRECTION was fully under control (thank you: ABS) My speed was almost entirely under control of the ABS (F@#K you: ABS).
There ought to be a way to adjust the "gain" on the system to account for conditions i.e. tires, mud/sand/snow/ice and driver experience. I doubt there is such an adjustment; therefore, I'll be looking at the dash light.
