Just to clarify, did you use a resonator or just changed the tail pipe size diameter?

My PV is still sitting on my garage floor, I tried to have it installed once but the guy refused to have it done since I am about to go thru MV inspection and he said that MV will fail the truck for noise. I have since passed the inspection and now contemplating whether to have it done now or wait until spring. I have some reservations too since the oem one is very quiet. This is not a good news.
