I may be wrong, but manuals dont have tranny coolers. The fluid temp isnt as critical as an auto. So if its manual, I wouldnt bother with the tranny cooler, and I dont think it would even be possible to hook one up. Most F-150s that came with the towing package had a tranny cooler already installed (my dad owns a 97 with the 4.6 and trailer package). But for towing, go with the f-150, even though its a v-6, it was built for towing and hauling. It might be lighter at the rear wheels, but if you add a trailer, its going to be better.
