I happen to have one, and a working scanner (thanks Darin). I will send you a pic via PM, I would post it but screwed up my computer and need to talk to Josh about FTP stuff.

Well, I spent 2 1/2 more hours at the shop Sunday, hoping to have the engine prepped for install, but I left with a heavy heart. We found a small crack in the flywheel, and it must be replaced. I had not anticipated this expense, and have no $$ for a new fly right now. There is another post up with the flywheel, but here is a "negative" of it. The crack can be seen a little better:

I also took a couple pics of the clutch. This unit had roughly 200,000 miles on it. Shows what a trucker's clutch looks like after many years of service:

I took the engine off of the stand, and hoisted it up, so I could install the rear main seal:

And this is where we stand now... The lower intake is bolted up, but the upper is not, as I need to insert the harness. Once the flywheel is replaced, I can drop it in. Not bad for roughly 9 1/2 hours of work (so far).

Bummer about the flywheel. Too bad you are that far away, I have a spare you would be welcome to.
I bought a "rebuilt" one from Toyota for $89.00, I think it was.
Looks right perty

Dang it DD, do not post such pretty pictures of engines.
I do not have my drool cup handy, and I can't put the keyboard on my lap to type ... but that flywheel is really a bummer. You've got the effort in the engine, get a good flywheel on it (I replied to your other post about breaking one) Also, check the block plugs... nothing like firing it up for the first time and getting a floor full of coolant .
Last but not least, start on Snoopy's ride soon. She's breaking our hearts... I'd give Wifezilla one of my trucks(probably the one that runs) if she would wheel, but she won't even drive it to see if she likes it...
Again, nice job... keep us posted.

DD,

Too bad about the flywheel. But, on a positive note. That thing looks absolutely killer. Awesome job!!!

That engine looks identical to mine when I rebuild it, the only thing is I didn't paint the cooling passages but for some reason I did paint the oil pan the same color as the valve cover, makes it easier to spot leaks. It's surprising how small and simple these engines are isn't it? Once the engine was out it was like, damn that thing is tiny how is the world does it keep me going down the road that fast? Take your time, and don't rush a rebuild, not that you are, do it right the first time. Did you handle the bearings with your bare hands, just curious? The guy who helped me rebuild mine said that they will go prematurly if you do that, he showed me the finger print on some bearing he had laying around. Looks great.

It looks almost too pretty to use, (almost). It's been a long time comming, but a nice way to help celebrate the holidays.
How can I get in touch with you, to talk about getting started on mine? I got some questions, and I'd like to get going on it ASAP. Tried to call a couple of times but the phone # no workie now.
