My new 95 XJ has a Lojack alarm and the recovery system.
The battery in the remote was dead when I got it, so I put a new battery in, and now when I press the button, the light on the remote lights, but nothing happens on the truck. I think the truck sat for a while with a dead battery, so do I need to reset something in the alarm so it recognizes the remote? When I turn the truck off, the alarm chirps once. So I guess the alarm is still working in some capacity. The alarm light on the dash never turns off at all - I don't know if it's supposed to when the truck is running or not. I'm just afraid the thing is going to start blaring and I'll have no way to turn it off.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Ben
