i just rebuilt my starter last month...it went from starting every now and then and progressively went worse over the course of 2 months...like everyone says its pretty easy and do it as soon as it starts (starts - heh) to give trouble as it will probably not start at all at the worse time...the last 2 weeks i had to live with it as i never had any time to fix it...had to bump start it just to start the T...so, when i would park it, i always had to look for a downhill place to park - lucky for me we have a parking structure at work...i would just park on the upper most part of the ramp - pretty embarrassing @ lunch time

i had ordered the parts through the dealer...gave them my vin # and also the numbers off the starter. first time i ever took off a starter - really easy! a little harder to put back in, but still - too easy! even though the dealer gave me the wrong contact and i had to rig it to work, but it works!

and the dealer was telling me to just bring it in and get a new starter as it was going to be real had to do - ha!
