Don't drive with the skid plate off many things will brake. to remove it just get a jack place it under the transfer case and unbolt and remove the skid plate if you dont hold up tranny with somthing the motor mounts and firewall turn into a fulcrum some people can get away with doing it once or twice but after that things get broke
