I personally prefer a 5speed over an auto, but I do have to say it's not bad at all having a toyota 4x4 with a 22re and auto trans. I have one, that I will be selling soon, and I love it, accelerates fine, passing gear will get the revs up nice and high. It's almost the same as my 4runner with a 5speed. It does have exhaust, headers, and a cone filter with fresh rebuild, but still even before the rebuild it wasn't bad at all. Whoever started the rumor the toyota's with auto's are slugs either were driving a poorly tuned truck, or was smokin. smile
