Interesting. I, for one, did not know that. 2001's and 2002's can be open in 4 low. I use that quite a bit actually. I thought the 1999 and 2000 Limiteds were the same. This is the first time I've heard this being brought up.

The only thought I would have is to check here on the Sequoia board and see if anyone has done such a thing. They act the same as yours going from high to low range. The only other differece between yours then is that they can't lock the center in high range.
