I'm sure if the bushings are very worn and allow leakage between the runners for differant cylinders, as well as around the butterflies then the gain from the dual tuned system will drop off.

i have 2 trucks with and 2 without the butterflys Are your trucks are mechanically identical in all ways (identical wheels/tires, exhaust systems, age, mileage, equipment, etc) so you are comparing apples to apples?

so i finally figured out which hose you disconnect, the one that goes to the vacuum actuator...my question is what did you guys plug the vacuum actuator with?
Also, so i understand correctly, you will hear lots of rattling at the front of the intake manifold area if the butterlys are loose?

Did they all have a new hose from the fuel pump to the outlet pipe? I've been told that's a common problem...
Fasteddy's advice is occasionally sound...

Alright regarding the Intake Manifold Butterfly valves, has anyone used an intake Manifold off a VR4 motor instead of our intake manifold and just bypass the butterfly valves all together? They should bolt up, even that little exhaust pipe to the manifold. The only thing is the throttle body would be facing the front rather that the side... Also the Manifold off a Sebring might work it looks similar as well but the throttle body would face straight to the firewall and i don't thing there would be enough room facing that way since our fire wall is so close to the motor. Any thoughts? ![[Linked Image]](http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w231/Djbenny950/intakes.jpg)

I'll qualify what I'm about to say by stating that the Space Shuttle was made of over a million parts, all of them made by the lowest bidder.
My plenum is in the hands of a machine shop that made parts for the Space Shuttles. They said it would be no problem to make durable, non-binding and fairly tight bushings for the unit. We'll see...
My brother knows the owner from them both being parents of kids on a soccer team. My bro is an aeronautical/astronautical engineer by education, so it took me a while to explain it to him. Kidding.
