I took the propane to it this evening. It seems to be a small leak at the front of the butterfly shaft. I will have to remove the entire assembly and play with different sized o-rings in the groove of the front bushing until it snugs up tighter.

I sprayed the gas (unlit!) all around the intake parts, but every time I hit the front of the lower plenum, up went the idle, then it would fall back when I removed the nozzle.

In other news, I called my brother to ask him to ask his machine shop friend about making more of the aluminum-bronze bushings, so I should know soon how much they'll cost me. And, with having a semi-functional spare now, I can rebuild it myself to see how much of a hassle it is and know how much the total to redo others will be.

It is somewhat reassuring to see the one that came off my truck is worn in the same places.
