My winter project .... winch bumper <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />.

I wanted maximum clearance and resonable protection. I couldn't decide tube or plate, so a little of both 1/4" plate and 1 1/2" & 2" square tube (square because it's a 1st gen Trooper). Not really finished, I may add a support across the back and box in the front of the winch area. The plan is to use receiver hitch tubes for a removeable grill guard yet to be built. I hate leaning over grill guards. I also trimmed off the front fender "fangs".

It is ok if you all don't like it .... not sure I do. Very big change in appearance ..... but it is growing on me <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />






About the winch it is slow and cheap, like me. Harbor Freight 8000# on sale for $289 with winch tray. I bought the 3 year extended warranty, just in case
