Getting the Wheeling Fever

I can't remember if it was on this forum or not, but IIRC there were some problems with the pinion bearings in '86 Troopers. I remember something about some sort of "squishable" nut or bearing adjustment. But after searching this and other forums for a couple hours, I couldn't find anything. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Is that info available somewhere?

2x '88 2.6L Troopers (one for parts)
'86 2.3L Trooper
