The short answer to your questions is: "I don't know" <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" />
The long answer is more interesting though...
I "think" that the transmissions are different and I will tell you why I think that. Both the 3.0L trucks (third generation) and the 3.4L trucks (Tacoma) used the R150F manual transmission, but the transfer case mounting (and obviously the transfer case) is different. Also, I *think* that Mechanic58 said that the transfer case used behind the automatic and manual Tacomas is the same (hopefully he will correct me if I am wrong). This leads me to believe that the 2000 auto tranny will not accept the VF1A chain drive transfer case from the 89-95 truck.
